About Me
I am a junior Hospitality and Tourism
Management and Business Administration double major. I
have worked in restaurants for the past six years and
currently wait tables at Tsunami's
downtown location. I have several interests in
terms of a post-graduation job including guest services,
event planning, and food and beverage. My service
industry experiences - hostessing, waiting tables, and
managing have afforded me the skills necessary to deal with
all personality types. As much as I enjoy meeting new
people, the service industry definitely presents its
challenges.
My coworkers and I are constantly venting about little things our tables do or say, and it got me to thinking that maybe they just don't know any better. I have always said that I can pinpoint whether someone I am waiting on has ever worked in a restaurant almost instantaneously. I decided to compile a list based on things servers find most offensive and created a "How to" if you will, for dining in a restaurant. If you have any industry experience and have anything to add, I'd love to hear from you. My contact information is located here.
